This is a great sequel to Patch 17. The main character, Roman, continues to develop and grow in power. In some ways he seems really powerful and blessed by the gods but he still struggles when faced with mobs above his level (of which there are many).

The book is squarely within the LitRPG genre which I have come to enjoy more and more. I don’t even play MMORPGs but I have an appreciation for them now. My only disappointment is that I have to wait for the next book to be translated.

To address the other issue some reviewers have noted – Max’s story. The first time the main story ended in Patch 17 and the other story started I was annoyed but in a good way. I wanted more of Roman’s story. I have come to like Max’s story as well and I now view these books as a novel with a bonus novella.
