To encourage additional, stronger adventurers to delve through his dungeon, he needs a new attraction. As he is a holiday-themed dungeon, he has the perfect idea for a brand-new section: Easter. But will jellybeans, chocolate eggs, marshmallow chicks, and the Easter Bunny be enough to entice a whole new quality level of adventurer? Or will it draw the wrong kind attention? It’s time for Elmer to take that gamble, otherwise he’ll never get a chance to free his Mary from her imprisonment. 04 – Independence Core

Red, white, and blue are the best colors to use in the defense of a dungeon. After a harrowing experience with a soul manipulator after he created his Easter section, Elmer Robbins is back and developing a brand-new area based on another holiday. With enough life force gained from the adventurers perishing throughout his dungeon over the last few months, the dungeon core decides to implement the holiday of Independence Day as his newest addition to his dungeon defenses. Cooking on a grill, playing with water during hot summer days, and setting off fireworks are some of the best things about the Independence Day holiday he remembers from back on Earth, and he wants to translate those experiences into his dungeon. At the same time, he needs to discover a way to prevent the same thing that happened with the soul manipulator from occurring again, because the last thing he wants is his soul captured and used against his will. However, the danger to his core won’t come from another soul manipulator. Instead, it will present itself in the form of an old enemy, as well as from an entirely unexpected direction. Independence Core is a short, 37k-word novella set in a unique universe that contains LitRPG and dungeon core elements such as stats and character progression. 05 – Halloween Core

Elmer Robbins has survived thousands of Adventurers delving through his dungeon, but the holiday-obsessed Dungeon Core is in danger. The threat doesn’t stem from some powerful Adventurer or world-ending crisis set to destroy his Core, but from his own success. With a limitation set upon him from the Gods and Goddesses of his new world, he soon hits a wall in his development that could end up destroying him because of an overabundance of Life Force he is forced to absorb from slain Adventurers in his dungeon.

With a choice between slowly succumbing to his destruction by doing nothing, which would prolong his life, or going out in a blaze of glory by creating another holiday-themed section to his dungeon and inviting the permanent death of his soul all that much faster, the decision was easy. With new Halloween-based rooms, he can finally decorate for one of his favorite holidays, and this new section is well-suited the environment of a dungeon.

Will the Adventurers appreciate his new fear-filled dungeon areas filled with pumpkins, skeletons, ghosts, vampires, and even trick-or-treating before the inevitable destruction meets his Core? Or will there be a light at the end of the tunnel, saving both Elmer and his trapped wife’s soul from utter annihilation?
